The Swinging 60s reimagined by H&M
We were delighted to collaborate with H&M in the creation of a fashion collection based on iconic Richard Allan 1960s designs. Reworking the flat scarf designs, for which Richard Allan was famous, into three dimensions was a bold and imaginative initiative.
Keeping the original colourations for authenticity but rescaling the designs and applying them to shapes redolent of the swinging 60s, created a vivacious and fresh collection. H&M took London to the world! The launch, hosted at Abbey Road Studios, where The Beatles recorded most of their classics, comprised some 60 pieces inspired by, but not replicating the past. This exceptional collection marketed from Times Square to Tokyo and Bejing retailed in 70 countries worldwide and sold out within weeks! We hope that you enjoy our ‘Richard Allan x H&M’ collection as much as we enjoyed inspiring it!
