The collection draws on my father’s original silk scarf designs from the 1960s and 70s ~ a wonderful archive of richly coloured, expressive works whose sense of movement and vitality still feels remarkably fresh today. Their origins in silk remain ever present: in the fluidity of the lines, the softness of forms and the quiet interplay between colour and texture.
This season, alongside the more vibrant pieces, we have introduced a gentler palette of neutrals to the collection. Among the new works is Maren (above), a serene abstract in soft greys with touches of green-blue, evocative of shells, sea grasses or unfurling ferns. There is a calmness to it, though it still carries that unmistakable sense of rhythm and flow inherited from the original scarf designs.
We hope the collection feels both uplifting and restful ~ pieces intended to bring warmth, character and a connection to nature into interior spaces.
